On Saturday, May 2nd, WEAA 88.9fm in Baltimore celebrated 19 years of hip-hop culture with a 24-hour Strictly Hip Hop on-air marathon! As a former DJ for the show, I got the call to host a couple of hours "via satellite" and add a 'lil sumpthin' to the focus of the marathon, which was an analysis of the classic LP on hip hop culture and history. I used to go by the name of DJ Koz, by the way. Here is hour #1 of my contribution to the celebration. Heads-up, it's a one-hour file...but if you enjoy old school hip hop, you want this!
